Siskiyou Summit Bluegrass Band: About Us

The members of Siskiyou Summit came together in 1999 by chance and as a response to a request for bluegrass music at the wedding of two friends who had just relocated to Ashland, Oregon from North Carolina. Glenn Freese, Jeff Jones, Crystal Reeves, Rick Nelson and Jim Calhoun had already logged many years in the acoustic and bluegrass music scenes in the North West and saw this as a pleasant one-time gig offer and the chance to enjoy each others personal and musical company for an afternoon. Flash forward to 2010, hundreds of gigs, two albums and a couple of personnel additions and changes later, Siskiyou Summit is still at the peak of their musical chops, in demand, hotter and more entertaining than ever!
